[Event Information] Application for the 114th "Benchmarking Project in the Field of Humanities and Social Sciences in Colleges and Universities"

1. The purpose of the program is to enhance the research capacity of universities and colleges in the field of humanities and social sciences, cultivate talents and enhance international visibility, propose research results with social contribution, and establish research centers in characteristic fields in the future. Those who plan to apply for the project, please follow the following matters:
(1) This project includes 17 fields. Only one application can be submitted for each field. The annual subsidy is up to NT$5 million. The recipient of the subsidy should prepare a matching fund of more than 10% of the subsidy amount. In addition, the subsidy shall be based on the "National Science and Technology According to the "Key Points of Operations for Subsidizing and Recruiting Visiting Scientific and Technological Talents from the National Science and Technology Committee", apply for a doctoral-level researcher subsidy from the National Science and Technology Committee.
(2) The application conditions include three elements: physical space, international ranking and academic performance. All conditions must be met to be eligible to apply for the program.
(3) Please calculate the performance of papers in international journals by yourself, and submit the calculation results and the list of papers to the planning department. If you have difficulty with the calculation of papers or the list of papers, you may write to the department’s entrusted project office to provide assistance before August 23, 2020. .
(4) Funding should be handled in accordance with the "Principles for the Use of Funds for Higher Education Deepening Plans in Colleges and Universities". A unified funding method shall be adopted, and the capital gate and the regular gate shall be allocated. The capital gate shall account for 20% to 30% and the regular gate shall account for 70%. % to 80% is the principle, and the remaining unfinished matters shall be handled in accordance with the "Key Points for the Approval and Final Report of Subsidies (Donations) and Commissioned Funds of the Ministry of Education".
(5) Please send (serve) the project summary form by electronic official letter before August 23, 2020, one copy for each case (only for reference in classifying the application field and hiring review committee members, not a review item); Send (deliver) two copies of the plan before September 27 and upload the electronic files (including word files and PDF files) to the website: https://hespsec.moe.gov.tw/auth.hss/ Login, applications submitted after time or with incomplete information will not be accepted.
